Fiona Lake BA(Hons) Photography;Msc Social Sciences; Dip SW; studied a degree at the Bournemouth Art Insitute from 1998-2001. Prior to that Fiona worked as a portrait photographer in Osaka, Japan. Fiona has photographically captured images from around the world for over five years. She is now based in England, near Bath, Wiltshire. As well as a supervising social worker, Fiona works as a fine art photographer and is researching towards a PHD in portrait therapy - a unique concept - using the photographic portrait as a therapeutic tool. Fiona is passionate about the traditional photographic process - it's form, essence and craft. Fiona prefers to work with fully manual, film -based cameras, hand print where possible and use available light. She uses a medium format Pentax 6X7 camera and a Canon F1. |
